In previous years, Netflix account members that wanted to access their account on an Xbox 360 would also need to have an active Xbox LIVE Gold membership, that ends this weekend.
News of the policy change comes from Microsoft’s ‘Major Nelson’ who made the announcement earlier today. Starting this weekend, anyone who has a Netflix account will be able to use the service without the need for any other fees or subscriptions. This comes as the new series ‘House of Cards’, which stars actor Kevin Spacey, is set to premier.
If Superbowl ads are more your speed, then you will be happy to know that Hulu’s ‘Adzone’ will be made available without a Hulu Plus subscription as well. It is always nice to know that you won’t have to pay for the paid advertisements that want you to pay for their products or services.
