Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD launched last week, kicking off Xbox Live’s Summer of Arcade promotion. it appears that many fans were willing to take a grind down memory lane, as the game has enjoyed a strong debut. 

 

In an interview with Gamasutra, developer Robomodo revealed that THPS HD has sold approximately 120,000 copies in its first week of availability. Josh Tsui of Robomodo says that day to day sales are “staying very consistent,” and believes that sales have been strong because “people are more apt to try games that are smaller and downloadable.” And cheaper than a full-fledged $60 release, I should point out.

 

It should also be noted that these sales figures reflect only the Xbox 360 version, as the PSN and PC versions are set to launch later this year.
