There will be a new Pitfall game and Activision is behind it
It was thirty years ago when ‘Pitfall’ was released to the world. Now Activision’s new mobile division is bringing Pitfall back into the hearts of people everywhere.
Pitfall still stands as the very first home video-game that I ever remember playing. It was released back in 1982 for the Atari 2600. “We’ve been working on Pitfall since earlier in the year when we set up and it has been really good to revisit that and bring it to a modern audience,” Martyn Brown, Team 17 co-founder and Activision Mobile head honcho told MCV. “Being able to call upon a wide portfolio of properties is really good for us and we are looking forward to finally showing it to more people.” We will keep you updated when an official press-release is sent out from Activision.
The announcement comes as Pitfall is celebrating its 30th anniversary.
