The team at CD Projeckt Red have released a new ‘developer diary’ video for their upcoming Xbox 360 version for ‘The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings’. In the video the team talks about the challenges of bringing the game to the Xbox 360 and the features they are building into it.
The video features John Mamais, head of production for CD Projekt Red, who labels the Xbox 360 version of the game an “adaptation” not a simple “port”. Mamais states the game was built to feel “native to the console.”
The game was built with a new intelligent camera system, new controls, new targeting system and new “console friendly” user-interface. Mamais also stated that they are adding “significant” new content and new features for Xbox 360 gamers.
Story writer Ian Bartkowicz talks about how they “beefed-up” the final chapter of the game. The video speaks with other members of the development team as well, all who share their unique roles and outlooks on what makes Witcher 2 such an amazing game.
You can watch the trailer below. The “new content” that is scheduled to be added into the Xbox 360 version will come to PC eventually. The console version is scheduled for release on April 17, 2012.
