Rumors have been flying everywhere of a deal between Sony and a major cloud-based gaming service. The rumor mill seems to point towards Gaikai has the company in question, and now, even more potential news is floating our way.
A partnership with Gaikai will presumably include a backwards compatibility of sorts, with the ability to stream PS2 and PS1 titles. The service will allow first party games to be available, as well as allow third party publishers to sell their back catalogues.
Of course, as usual with rumors, this is purely speculation at this point, no matter how truthful it may seem. E3 is just around the corner, though…so let’s hope for some answers!
