Sony confirmed the release date for the upcoming racer ‘Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed’ for the Nintendo 3DS earlier today. The anticipated title will hit store early next month.

The official release date for the game will be February 8, 2024 in Europe and February 12, 2024 in North America. The game will let you play as your ‘Mii’ alongside Sonic and the SEGA All-Stars in a transforming land-air-sea vehicle. Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed for the 3DS also includes StreetPass challenges and features and allows you play with up to seven of your friends using multi cart or single cart play.

There will be 22 playable SEGA All-stars characters included in the game. From that list is Sonic, Tails, Knuckles and Dr. Eggman from the classic ‘Sonic the Hedgehog’ franchise. Other characters include NASCAR star Danica Patrick and Disney’s Wreck-It Ralph. The game will also feature 20 tracks and arenas to explore with alternative routes and shortcuts.

The Nintendo 3DS ‘Limited Edition of Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed’ will also be available at retailer “while supplies last” according to SEGA. The exclusive bonus edition content features: Metal Sonic as a playable character along with his transforming vehicle and Mod Pack, an additional Outrun Bay Track plus challenges and time trials, and stickers for your in-game driver’s license.
