Konami revealed this week that their title ‘Metal Gear Solid: 4′ will receive a long-awaited trophy patch for the PS3. The company also announced that a new version of the game will be released, that will allow players to install a “full version” of the game that and stop the long load-times between chapters.
Called “The Best” version, the game will allow an installation of the game’s data so players will not have to install the game between every chapter. Metal Gear Solid: 4 was released in the early days of the PS3, when HDD space was limited. Now that GB are a little more plentiful, games can store more data off disc and Metal Gear Solid: 4 can finally take advantage of that feature. The title is currently marked for a Japanese release, but since the trophy patch is headed to North America as well there is little doubt that the ‘Best Version’ will hit other regions.
All of this is happening as Konami prepares to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the Metal Gear titles. A new website dedicated to the event has been published as well, you can check that out below.
