EA and Crytek have put together a 20 minute ‘interactive trailer’ that sheds some light on the choice-mechanic that will be featured in Crysis 3. The full trailer can be seen below.
The trailer follows Prophet, as he infiltrates a power station in a destroyed New York City. The footage is from a ‘pre-alpha’ stage in the development but the video does give you an idea on how the game will look running on the famed Cryengine 3.
Choice mechanics are becoming increasingly popular in all genres of video games, adding possible replay value and a sense of personalization to a title. You can watch the full trailer below.
Crysis 3 is set for a February release date and will launch on PS3, PC and Xbox 360. The game currently comes in a ‘Hunter Edition’ that is available for pre-orders.
