Circle Pad Pro headed to Nintendo 3DS XL
The latest handheld from Nintendo, the Nintendo 3DS XL, will receive a second circle pad courtesy of the Circle Pad Pro. Nintendo also confirmed that the data from a Nintendo 3DS will be transferable to a Nintendo 3DS XL.
The news came from Famitsu magazine late last night and was reported on by website Andriasang. In the latest issue of Famitsu, Nintendo states that it will ship the device for the XL in Japan within this year. Nintendo did not release any images of the Circle Pad attachement, though more information will likely arise over the coming weeks. The device is headed to Japan in 2012, though no exact dates were given. A North American date was also not given at this time.
Data that can be transfered includes saved-game data, applications and other information. More details will be posted when Nintendo issues an official press-release.
