Capcom brings interactive ‘Shrek’s Fairytale Kingdom’ to iOS devices
Capcom and DreamWorks Animation have released the latest title in the popular ‘Shrek’ franchise. ‘Shrek’s Fairytale Kingdom’ is an interactive trip back to the world of Far Far Away for the iPad, iPhone and iPod touch.
Developed by Beeline Interactive, players will once again meet “solitude seeking Shrek” as he is “attempting to outfit his beloved Swamp with all manner of ogre-ly comforts”. According to a press-release sent out by Capcom, the game will be divided into four domains:The game is divided into four domains taken from the first film including Shrek’s Swamp, Duloc, Dragon’s Keep and the Windmill Field. Players progress in the game by building, decorating and customizing the four domains with characters, buildings and items plucked right from the films. In order to gather the resources necessary to build and decorate the domains, players will have to go on quests with Shrek, Donkey, Fiona, Dragon and Lord Farquaad to recover riches and collectible items.
Players also have the option to enlist friends for in-game bonuses as well as play a host of mini games themed around events in the movie including fighting knights and practicing ogre hygiene. You can check out the official listing for the game on the Apple App store below.
