The British Academy of Film and Television awards (BAFTAs) are one of the few award programs dedicated to gaming that truly celebrate achievements in the gaming industry. This year’s lineup of contenders are some of the best that this generation of platforms has ever put forward. 

 

Among the nominees is thatgameconpany’s ‘Journey’ which earned eight nominations. Other titles up for the ‘Best Game award’ are ‘Mass Effect 3′ from Bioware, ‘Far Cry 3′ from Ubisoft, ‘The Walking Dead’ from TellTale Games, FIFA 13 from ‘EA’ and ‘Dishonored’ from Arkane Studios.

 

Many titles like ‘Far Cry 3′ and ‘The Walking Dead’ picked up multiple nominations in separate categories including the ‘Best Performer’ category for Melissa Hutchinson and Dave Fennoy’s as Clementine and Lee.

 

Many indie-games like ‘Fez’, ‘The Unfinished Swan’, ‘Thomas was Alone’ and ‘Minecraft: XBOX 360 Edition’ were nominated as well.
