There wasn’t an exact launch date for the ‘Planetside 2 beta’ to begin, it was tentatively scheduled for either today or tomorrow. Now the team has pushed that back to Friday or Monday. 

 

John Smedley, Sony Online Entertainment President, broke the news via Twitter with a few separate Tweets regarding the projected launch. Smedley Tweeted, “Had planned for today or tomorrow but we have some stuff we need to make sure is awesome”

 

Smedley then followed up with an assurance that SOE is diligently working to get the beta out stating, “the team is working like crazy but we need to polish some stuff and test it before we let in a massive # of people.”

 

There are ‘massive’ amounts of people that are willing to test those servers no doubt. We will keep you updated on the launch of the beta.
