Microsoft teases a new way to earn rewards using Xbox 360 Achievements
It looks like those Achievements and that high Gamerscore of yours might actually start paying off.. literally. Microsoft hinted at the idea after the ‘Xbox LIVE Reward’ Twitter handle hit 50,000 followers.
The official Tweet was, “We’ve hit 50,000 followers, which means it’s time for an announcement! Coming Fall: a new way to earn Rewards based on your Achievements!”
No exact details were given but due to the nature of the tweet one can expect to start earning “rewards” when unlocking Achievements in games. Though everyone will love the idea of MS Points being the reward, it could be more closely related to how Bing rewards its customers while searching. Accruing points that can be used in many different ways, like signing up for give-aways and obtaining rewards for points.
