  • Layoffs Hit Warner Bros.

The ax has been brought down at Warner Bros.’ Seattle based Snowblind Studios. The studio is responsible for games such as FEAR and The Lord of the Rings: War in the North.

3D Realms co-founder George Broussard reported on his Twitter that around “60ish” staff members were let go. Warner Bros. claimed that it was forced to make cuts as part of a “continual review of our business operations and fluctuating market conditions.”

I think that’s code for they’re spending more on creating games than they are earning back, a bad situation to be in for any business.
