Usually this time of year you would hear rumors and teasers of what will be showcased at this year E3 convention in June. Now the headlines circulating websites is who is limiting their involvement on the event.
It was recently discovered that Valve Software will not be making any official announcements at this year’s E3. This is much to the dismay of fans hoping for a ‘Half-Life 3′ teaser or announcement. The news was first discovered through an email exchange with co-founder of Valve, Gabe Newell.
Only a few days later, THQ has officially announced that, not only will they avoid a keynote speech, they won’t even have a booth at the convention. This isn’t unheard of however, large publisher Activision has gone years without a booth, though at the time they were not in the fiscal situation that publisher THQ is at the moment.
THQ told website GameIndustry, “We’re not producing a booth, but we will be participating in E3. We will be showing games to the E3 judges at their event coming up, and we’ll be hosting a press and business center at the show for meeting”
