Microsoft’s much anticipated Xbox Live dashboard update is scheduled to release on November 25th, that’s according to a report by Gigaom. The dashboard update will bring multiple new features to the system, including the introduction of live TV and Bing search.
It was recently announced that Bravo, HBO, BBC, and other prominent TV stations will be available to Xbox Live Gold members after a deal was struck between Microsoft, Comcast, and Verizon. No word yet on whether this will require an additional subscription fee through your cable company, but that wouldn’t be surprisingly. This could be a major game changer in the video game industry that could set Microsoft apart from other consoles, like the PS3 and Wii U.
There will also be new features added to the Kinect and its further integration. Bing search will be added and it will allow you to search all the content Xbox Live offers through voice recognition.
Are you excited for the update that is launching in less than six weeks? Let us know in the comments below.
