There seems to be a lot of confusion about thatgamecompay’s decision to go into the self-publishing business. Now that the company is free from its Sony three-game obligation, they could start developing games for other platforms, though they want to clear the air that nothing is official yet. 

 

To recap the current situation, thatgamecompnay had a three-game deal with Sony. During that time they made FLoW, Flower and Journey. The last title Journey, was the single most successful title PSN has ever hosted. It scored numerous awards became a favorite of both players and critics. Since then, thatgamecompany has gone into self-publishing and with that move came the hope that they would take advantage of being free from the exclusivity that came with being tied to Sony.

 

So far no decisions have been made according to the companie’s official Twitter handle which states, “There’s been a lot of confusion and misquoting. We haven’t decided if we will go multiplatform yet.
