In order to stand out from a sea of possibilites, tablets and smartphones must have some pretty dazzling features. Sony is taking the mobility and efficiency route in their latest tablet design the ‘Xperia Tablet Z’.
The 10.1 Xperia Tablet Z is both incredibly light and thin but has a massive 10.1 inch screen. The device is about 25% lighter than the the iPad (652g) and has a larger screen but beyond the screen the new 10.1 Xperia Tablet Z holds some impressive hardware as well. With Qualcomm 1.5GHz quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage memory it has the storage and processing power to handle today’s CPU hungry applications and games. The 32GB of internal memory can even be expanded with a microSD memory card.
As for graphics on that large screen, the 10.1 Xperia Tablet Z runs full HD with a 1920×1200 resolution. The new tablet will also feature an 8.1-megapixel camera and Sony’s popular ‘S-Force’ virtual surround sound. Other features worth mentioning are the fact that the device is waterproof, runs on Android and will feature both NFC and LTE technologies.
Sony did not disclose any pricing or offer a release window at this time.
