Valve has announced a new service that will enable the Valve-STEAM community to play an intricate part in the section of titles that will end up on STEAM. The new service is expected to launch this August. Here are the details.
It’s a very simple and ingenious way to get the community to support popular titles. If it works, you can start to see tremendous changes on how indie-games amrket their games toward the community.
Valve states that “developers post information, screenshots, and videos for their game and seek a critical mass of community support in order to get selected for distribution”. This allows consumers a chance to get involved in the project right away and start helping there favorite games.
Not any game can make the qualifying list, and there is some great advice on the official page for anyone that might be interested in getting their title ON Steam, or wants to get involved in picking the next big title.
